On the 8th May 2017, 20 South West College Students attended the AquaVET training pilot hosted at South West Colleges Centre for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies. The students were studying Level 3 Domestic Plumbing and Heating and Level 3 Sustainable Construction courses. Whilst studying their apprenticeship, the students are currently working in the construction industry and are expected to understand and implement sustainable building techniques and processes for enhanced resource efficiency. Positively, 90% of the students agreed that they had a better understanding of the topics covered including specifically Rainwater Harvesting Systems , Greywater Collection and Smart Metering.
