CONAIF (CONFEDERACION NACIONAL DE ASOCIACIONES DE INSTALADORES Y FLUIDOS)

CONAIF is a not-for-profit association that represents 90% of Spanish Plumbing Enterprises, most of them SMEs. Founded in 1979, CONAIF currently comprises 44 provincial associations that bring together more than 19,000 companies employing approximately 100,000 workers and having an overall annual turnover of €13m.
CONAIF is dedicated to the support and representation of SMEs, which constitute the most important sector of the Spanish economy. CONAIF is mainly financed by contributions coming from its members and sponsors. These contributions are used in the implementation of projects of most interest and value for its members. The objectives and main activities of the organization include:

  • Defending, representing and managing the professional interests of its members.
  • Promoting the progress of its members by conducting studies and organizing training courses.
  • Promoting the implementation of all activities aimed at the certification of people, products and systems.

CONAIF has a lot of experience in the European working groups of GCI UICP (Genie Climatique International – International Union of Roofing and Plumbing Contractors) and also participates in its Administration Board.

ROLE OF CONAIF IN THE PROJECT
